A (Nature) Mandala that Makes Me Happy

This article features one of nature's many spectacular mandalas, and gives me a reason to share one of my most favourite photos. It is a charming Teddy Bear Sunflower in my sister's garden, wonderfully captured by her, in the light of the afternoon sun.

It reminds me of this part of the ancient "Flower Sermon" from 500 B.C., which goes something like this:

The Buddha sat

in front of hundreds of his disciples,

all anticipating

one of his powerful sermons.

But he didn't say one word.

He just held up a beautiful flower,

and smiled.
